Academic Visits
Whether it is destressing students during mid-terms, learning gentle touch with preschoolers, or being a part of an educational presentation of how llamas & alpacas can be amazing therapy animals, Mtn Peaks Therapy Llamas & Alpacas is a great way to enhance your students and staff experience throughout the school year.
In addition to our fabulously decorated llamas and/or alpaca, presentations can include photo boards, albums, and alpaca products, and those present will be allowed to pet, hug, and feed our animals with carrot slices we provide.
All Student De-Stress
There is something magical about one of the fluffiest and largest animals known to mankind. Our llamas and alpacas are used to the strongest of hugs during some of life’s most stressful times - mid-terms.
Therapeutic in nature, our farm began to realize that our animals were becoming more of that which live bands offer: entertainment to distract from the hard times in school and offer therapy through entertainment. During our all-school visits, we encourage a space where a line can form to allow students one-on-one time to take a selfie, hug their stresses out, and feed their new furry friend the carrots we provide. Because of these more entertainment-in-nature visits, we start our pricing with a discounted rate of $500 for one animal for 90 minutes (traditionally $650) for visits through our entertainment Classy Camelids, LLC. Please inquire below for an accurate quote for your school stating which week, date, and time you are interested in booking. The more specific, the more accurate of a quote we can provide.
This rate also includes a custom school outfit to help add to your school’s spirit!
We recognize there is a distinct difference between Educational Presentations and student de-stress visits which we view as more of meet-and-greet opportunities. We value the practice of educating the next generation where we see meet-and-greet invitations as entertainment and are therefore classified as such through our Classy Camelids, LLC which helps assist in keeping educational and therapeutic prices low. When considering where your group lies, ask whether or not there is dedicated educational presentation time equal or more than the time desired for hands-on interactions.

The uniqueness of llamas and alpacas brings new life to youth with mental, emotional, and physical needs that may be draining in their day-to-day lives. There’s something about engaging the brain with an exciting animal you want to learn more about. Watch youth grow in confidence as they approach this new-to-them creature and melt in their soft, fluffy fiber. Or giggle over feeling the llama’s lips take a carrot from their hands. We are honored to have such gentle giants for the youth that need this experience the most.
For Presentations, Summer Camps, Pre-Schools & Specialty School Visits
Our Non-Profit visits for presentation-focused & specialty school visits start at $200 for one hour & $300 for 90 minutes with one animal. A second animal is an additional $200. These visits are only able to remain low as we volunteer our time visiting during times we do not commute during peak traffic times mid-week from Ridgefield, WA. Please keep traffic patterns in mind when inquiring about your school’s visit. Pricing and timing is flexible on a case-by-case bases.
